1. Stability and ruggedness
When traveling, it’s important that your mount is rugged and stable. This is just a small tip from us for you and your journey ahead.
The last thing you want is for the extension arm to swing out or break your TV when you hit a bump, sending it crashing to the floor, or ripping the bracket out from the wall.
Ruggedness is a requirement to pass our test of stability during driving on bumpy roads.
2. Mounting arm extension capacity and ability
The extension length of an RV mount arm can be good for multiple reasons: Better option for viewing positions, and less neck strain as viewing position can be perfected, allowing a single television in a small space to be viewable from multiple positions.
For example, an extension arm can be moved to be visible from the kitchen when cooking and can be rotated to be more visible from the sofa or bed at the back of an RV.
The key is to get an extendable arm that is longer than half the width of the television frame from the two outside edges to allow for a full 180-degree turn.
So the LCD screen can be moved to face either the front towards the kitchen area or moved to face towards the back of your RV, camper van, or bus, towards the bed or seating area.
3. TV size compatibility
If you have an old RV from 2000, by default you probably won’t hold a flat-screen TV of today’s standard without getting an RV TV mounting bracket [1].

Sometimes, you have an ideal spot to place your television but your intended spot is not sturdy enough alone to take the weight of a TV.
