Ash Logs & Planks - Spiritfarer - Guide Strats (2024)

Ash Logs are part of Spiritfarer’s wood category of materials. You can get these logs by cutting down ash trees found on specific islands or any of the Turtle Sisters.

These logs are then turned into planks via the sawmill, before being utilized in making 4 buildings and at least 7 improvements.

Where To Find Ash Trees (All Locations)

To get ash logs, you will need to cut down ash trees.

You can do this by approaching any tree that gets highlighted and then pressing the interact button. This will turn Stella’s everlight into a saw, and you will need to saw left and right until the tree falls down. Once you cut down a tree, it will take at least a couple of in-game days for them to grow back.

Ash trees can be found in these 3 locations:

• Oxubry
• Sunspring Square
• Ambertown Park

Note: Keep in mind that all of the locations below require the Rock Destroyer Boat Improvement from Albert’s Shipyard. An exhaustive list of the materials required for this upgrade can be found in our boat improvements guide.

Oxbury

With your ship equipped with the Rock Destroyer, head east to visit the island of Oxbury, at X: 233, Y: 18.

Once you’re on the island, simply walk right until you get past the Raccoon Shop. The single ash tree on the island can be found between two buildings just after the shop.

Sunspring Square

Once you’re done with Oxbury, head south on the Oxbury region to find the island of Sunspring Square, at X: 151, Y: -109.

Ash Tree #1

Upon your arrival on the island, climb the ladder and head right.

Once you find the park, head inside and go to your left to find the first ash tree, beside the blueberry bush.

Ash Tree #2

The second ash tree can be immediately found on the right side of the same park, beside another blueberry bush.

Ambertown Park

For the last island, head slightly north-east from Sunspring Square to find Ambertown Park, at X: 216, Y: -72.

Once you arrive on the island, simply head up the ladders and enter the park.

Then simply walk from left to right to find all 5 ash trees inside. Just keep in mind that trees you can cut will get highlighted when you pass by them.

Turtle Sisters

When you finally unlock any of the three Turtle Sisters, you can also plant any ash logs you have on their backs. These trees will then grow over time, and you can either cut them down or plant some more to have a steady supply of ash wood.

The locations of the Turtle Sisters are as follows:

• Olga (X: 81, Y: 28)
• Masha (X: -91, Y: 138)
• Irina (X: 127, Y: -76)

Floating Crates

In case you’re out of trees to cut and they haven’t grown back yet, there are also a couple of floating crates in the Oxbury region that contain ash logs. Simply jump in the water and interact with the crates to get the items.

The locations are as follows:

• X: 181, Y: 22
• X: 130, Y: -119

How To Make Ash Planks

After acquiring some ash logs, simply head to the sawmill on your ship and put in anywhere between 1 and 50 logs. Once the minigame starts, trace the yellow lines on the passing wood using the indicator. The more lines you trace, the more planks the sawmill will output.

Each log can produce a maximum amount of 4 planks, plus 1 sawdust. However, once the sawmill has been improved, the maximum amount of planks goes up to 6.
